The Latzanakis family has been a
part of the Winchester community
since they moved here in 1989. Steve
Latzanakis and family opened The
Greek Grille in Winchester Center on
September 29th of 2008 to provide
a Mediterranean-style option to
the people of Winchester and the
surrounding communities. You will
often see Steve behind the counter,
grilling or making those famous
Greek Souvlaki pitas. Also you may
see Steve’s mom, JoAnn, making
that famous spinach pie by hand and
rolling out that phillo dough. The
Greek Grille also donates food at the
Taste of Winchester and other local
community events. Please stop by,

The Gingerbread Construction Company is a
local, family owned bakery specializing in handmade
gingerbread houses and cookies, gourmet muffins,
cookies, and brownies, as well as a great cup
of coffee. Our business began in 1981 with just
Christmas gingerbread houses. Our Winchester
store opened in 1987 with our expanded line of
houses including: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day,
Easter, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. We even offer
undecorated houses so you can customize your own.
Though we specialize in all things gingerbread,
we’re also well known for our selection of gourmet
muffins. Come in to try one of our 20 varieties.
We carry the basics like Chocolate Chip and
Blueberry, but we also have some unique flavors
like Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Dream. Of
course our Gingerbread muffin is the most popular
variety. Some of the muffins are also available in
loaf form—cut them into slices and they’re perfect
for sharing!
Our cookies are also a delicious treat. We put
gourmet spins on classic flavors: Chocolate Chunk,
White Chocolate Macadamia, Oatmeal Raisin, and
more!
